Having graduated with a Master’s I went on to work for the BBC, and subsequently doing Marketing and Events for a University, before walking into lighting with the promise that I would love it. 15 years later I can confirm that’s true! I’ve since managed industry exhibitions, worked for the press, and headed up Marketing teams for global businesses before starting Parrot in 2017. I’ve not once looked back 😊

What the best thing about being in the team Parrot flock?

The freedom to spread our wings as a team - who share the same core values, but bring lots of different dimensions to the business. We are a creative and dynamic flock!

Having graduated with a First-class degree, I kicked off my marketing career in the lighting industry at a global manufacturer. I went on to head up the Marketing for LUX and Lighting magazine with work spanning from the 40 under 40 programme in New York to a Horticultural lighting conference in Eindhoven. I’ve since headed up the marketing and a team for the Grand Designs portfolio which included full strategic marketing of biannual huge exhibition, managing partnerships from The Times to Channel 4 and much more. I have also been recognised as an EN 30 under 30.

Our amazing flock – we inspire and support each other every day.

With 18 years’ PR experience working both in-house and in-agency across a range of sectors, my depth of experience means there isn’t much I haven’t seen. Developing strategy, producing intelligent and impactful copy and crafting and executing campaigns that deliver results are the parts of the job that keep me coming back for more.

I’m currently studying for a Master’s degree in marketing and fundraising at Bayes Business School in London.

I have a varied background, having graduated with a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Creative Writing. I have worked in journalism as a features writer, in PR and Marketing as a copywriter, and branched out as a freelance writer for a range of different clients and companies.

I am someone who likes to keep busy. I have been in the lighting industry now for 2 years. For most of that time I have been in marketing, with a focus on events, campaigns, and channel marketing. In previous roles I have managed websites, social media, events, fundraising and projects within marketing teams for a variety of different companies, industries, and target audiences. Alongside this I have my hobbies which include, film producing & assistant directing, theatre stage management, music song writing and performing as part of a duo.

A friendly, inclusive group who play to each other’s strengths and encourage one another to be the best version of ourselves.
